Overview

The project planning functionality is being enhanced with several updates, including the addition of fields for Alternative Plan and Total Alternative Plan hours. The Resource Planning view will display new columns such as Total Non-Billable, Total Billable, and Total Alternative Plan, while the Considerations column will be removed. The Preview button will now generate a PDF or document preview instead of sending an email. Additionally, the "Active Distribution of Planned Activities" grid will remove certain columns, and the Alternative Plan details will be included in notifications. Lastly, a new field called Project Planning Notes will be added to the Resource entity. 

How to Use it

The functionality related to project planning is being enhanced with the following modifications: 

  1. New Fields: 

  1. Alternative Plan: A text field to describe the alternative plan. 

  1. Total Alternative Plan: A field to input the hours of the alternative plan. 

 

  1. Resource Planning View Update: 

  1. New columns will be added to the "Resource Planning" view in the Project Planning entity:  

  1. Total Non-Billable 

  1. Total Billable 

  1. Total Plan 

  1. Total Alternative Plan 

  1. The Considerations column will be removed. 

 

  1. Preview Button Update: 

  1. The "Preview" button currently sends an email with the plan details. This will be changed to generate a PDF or document preview of the plan instead of sending an email. 

 

  1. Modification of "Active Distribution of Planned Activities" Grid: 

  1. The following columns will be removed from the grid:  

  1. Distribution Type 

  1. % Time to Invest 

  1. Notification Update: 

  1. The Alternative Plan and the corresponding time will now be included in the notification. 

  1. Resource Entity Update: 

  1. A new field called Project Planning Notes will be added to the resource entity.
